With over a decade of experience dealing in vintage items “the Vintage Lady”, aka Connie Hamsher, has an eye for the exceptional, unique and truly classic.

Connie, and her husband Chuck (aka “the Modern Guy“), own and operate two storefronts in Downtown Charleston, WV.  The Purple Moon, which opened in 2005, focuses on vintage, mid-century modern home furnishings, accessories and art.  Their latest venture, Modern by Design, opened in April 2011 and is an “interior design boutique” with new furniture, accessories, art, wallcoverings, fabrics as well vintage “repurposed” items – all in a modern and contemporary style.

Having begun selling online in 2000, primarily on eBay, Connie has recently opened her Etsy store, PMVintage, to feature vintage linens, jewelry, personal accessories and unique home decor items. While Connie and Chuck maintain an Ebay store, Connie longed for the early days of online selling where a robust community resulted in a more personal approach to bring together wonderful, vintage items with people who will love and treasure them. Through PMVintage, Connie will be doing just that.

Connie’s new blog, Just a Vintage Lady, will be utilized to highlight everything from new design trends using vintage items, showcase new Etsy listings, as well as to just be another way to connect with other collectors. Because when everything else is said and done, Connie is just a collector at heart.
